# Tavily

## Overview

Connect your ElevenLabs AI agents with Tavily to search the web during conversations. Tavily is a search API built for AI applications, enabling agents to ground responses with up-to-date information across general topics, news, and financial data.

## Capabilities

| ------------------------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| Zero retention mode (ZRM) | Not supported                              |
| Attachments in tools      | Not supported — tools operate on text only |

## Setup

This integration uses a **Tavily API key** for authentication.

Sign up at [tavily.com](https://tavily.com/) if you do not already have an account.

Go to your [Tavily Dashboard](https://app.tavily.com/) and copy your API key. It starts with `tvly-`.

In the ElevenLabs integration setup, paste your Tavily API key in the **API Key** field.
