# How can I check whether a piece of audio was generated by ElevenLabs?

Signed-in users can use the free [ElevenLabs Audio Detector.](https://elevenlabs.io/app/audio-detector) To access this tool, open your account profile menu in the top right corner of the website, and select **ElevenLabs Audio Detector**.

Upload an audio file and the tool will tell you whether it contains an ElevenLabs watermark or has a positive identification from our existing [AI Speech Classifier](https://elevenlabs.io/ai-speech-classifier).
