Website scraping
Website scraping lets your receptionist learn from your existing website content — FAQs, service descriptions, policies, and anything else published on your site.
Scan types
Section titled “Scan types”| Type | What it does | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Single page | Scans one specific URL | FAQ page, pricing page, specific policy |
| Site crawl | Follows internal links and scans multiple pages | Entire website, blog with useful content |
Scan status
Section titled “Scan status”After starting a scrape, you can track progress:
- In progress — Pages are being processed
- Completed — All pages have been scanned and indexed
- Failed — Something went wrong (check the URL and try again)
Once complete, you can view a list of all scraped pages with extracted content summaries.
Keeping content current
Section titled “Keeping content current”Websites change over time. Use Reprocess on a knowledge source to re-scan your website and update the receptionist's knowledge. Run this after making significant content changes to your site.
